ABOUT COOKIES
Cookie Policy (EU e-Privacy Directive)
Bioplus uses cookies for certain sections of its websites.
Cookies are files that store information on the User’s hard drive or browser, enabling websites to recognise the User and know that they have visited the site before.
Cookies help Bioplus understand which sections of the website are most popular, allowing us to see which pages you visit and how long you spend on them.
By carrying out these analyses, Bioplus is able to tailor the websites to your needs and provide you with a more personalised user experience.
For example, cookies ensure that the information displayed during your next visit will match your preferences.
You can configure your browser to accept or reject all cookies, or to be notified when a cookie is sent.
Every browser is different.
You should check the “Help” menu to find out how to change your cookie preferences.
You should be aware, however, that these websites are designed to work with cookies, so disabling any of them may affect your use of the site and prevent you from taking full advantage of them.
Bioplus does not share cookies with third parties, including external data providers or websites.
These websites and the communications generated as a result of using and/or registering on them, such as promotional emails, may contain electronic images known as “web beacons”.
Web beacons generally work in conjunction with cookies and may be used, in particular, to:
Count the number of visitors to these websites;
Check whether the User has interacted with emails or “clicked” on certain links, for example, when these are conditions for entering competitions;
Determine the success of a marketing campaign or competition;
Establish levels of interest in certain items on these websites or in relation to certain products and services available;
Assess whether advertisements or competitions result in sales;
To understand the popularity of a product or service, as well as variations in levels of interest.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
“Cookies” are small pieces of software stored on your computer via your browser, retaining only information related to your preferences and therefore not including your personal data.
WHAT ARE COOKIES USED FOR?
Cookies are used to help determine the usefulness, interest and number of visits to our websites, enabling faster and more efficient browsing by eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information.
WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES DO WE USE?
There are two types of cookies that may be used:
-
Persistent cookies – these are cookies that are stored at browser level on your devices (PC, mobile and tablet) and are used whenever you visit one of our websites again. They are generally used to tailor your browsing experience to your interests, enabling us to provide a more personalised service.
-
Session cookies – these are temporary cookies that remain in your browser’s cookie file until you leave the website. The information obtained by these cookies is used to analyse web traffic patterns, enabling us to identify problems and provide a better browsing experience.
Cookie Type – Purpose
Strictly necessary cookies – These allow you to browse the website and use its applications, as well as access secure areas of the website. Without these cookies, the services you have requested cannot be provided.
Analytical cookies – These are used anonymously for the purpose of compiling and analysing statistics, in order to improve the website’s performance.
Functionality cookies – These store your preferences regarding the use of the site, so that you do not need to reconfigure the site each time you visit it.
Third-party cookies – These measure the success of applications and the effectiveness of third-party advertising. They may also be used to personalise a widget with user data.
Advertising cookies – These tailor advertising to each user’s interests and also limit the number of times you see an advert, helping to measure the effectiveness of the advertising and the success of the website’s design.
