Teleconsultation is the provision of remote healthcare services, using information and communication technologies to connect patients and healthcare professionals when they are not in the same geographical location.

Bioplus is a recognised entity for issuing online medical certificates (ERS No.: E172857).

• Candidates and drivers in group 1 (categories A and B) and psychological assessment whenever recommended in the medical assessment.

• Group 2 candidates and drivers (categories C, D, E, 997) who also require psychological assessment (psychotechnical).

• Exchange of foreign and military driving licences.

• Driving instructors and examiners.

• Driving licences for people with disabilities.

• When obtaining categories A, B, C, CE, D, DE, 997 (tvde, taxi, tcc, fire engines, ambulances and patient transport)

• When renewing your driving licence (from the age of 50)

All you need is a smartphone, tablet or computer with an internet connection.

At the time of your appointment, be in a private, well-lit, quiet place without external interference so that you can be seen in privacy and without interruptions.

Have your National Health Service number, identification document and driving licence to hand to provide to the professional who will be seeing you.

The doctor will assess the minimum standards relating to physical and mental fitness for driving a motor vehicle, including vision, limbs/mobility, mental disorders, among other clinical conditions.

Our team will email you the medical certificate. When the consultation is over, the certificate is issued and automatically becomes available on IMT online. The medical certificate for your driving licence is electronic and has a number that identifies it. It is available directly on the joint IMT platform.

The medical certificate is issued by the doctor and states “Fit” or “Unfit”, as appropriate.

A medical certificate stating “Fit” is valid for six months from the date of issue.
